This project will focus on developing and applying lectins to crosslink T cells and cancer cells leading to cancer cell death. It aims to investigate the impact of natural and synthetic lectins as cellular crosslinkers. In the framework of this PhD project, the ESR will study the signalling and killing activity of cytotoxic T cells. Through this interdisciplinary project they will develop skills in cell biology, immunology, glycobiology, biochemistry, and become expert in methods like flow cytometry, advanced fluorescence microscopy, ELISA, Western Blots.

Appropriate training will be provided in all areas that are new to the researcher.
